this is our program for Friday, last day before the end of the calendar school year:

NOTE: I was going to arrange for pizza lunch tomorrow, but due to certain circumstances I forgot. I will try to e-mail to Mr. Dixon to still make it happen. If Mr. Dixon agrees, we can have our pizza lunch on this special day.

 

Does actually anyone have those songs they posted words to on CD? That music would be marvelous to listen to during lunch recess.

 

Also, I will try to find out who has Phys. Ed. the last class and if they agree we can have a giant DPA during that last period in the gym! 5/6 R, 7D, 7P

Hello all students and parents,

 

this is our program for day 5:

 

Per. 1 – Annual Learning Plan – then, LA continue please bring your Media I would like to see how is your write-up for individual slides going, also – I would like to see how much research you have done into certain topics, i. e. how to deal with certain health problems i.e. lice; or what do when bus is cancelled, or what to do when you forgot your locker number, how to dress for winter, etc.

Per. 5 and 6 – Performance by the Orchestra in the gym at 1:30 pm

(otherwise History & French)

 

NOTE: a lot of people still owe me work! Do I need to make phone calls to your parents to "inspire" you to do your homework and assignments?

day 3, Tuesday

Hello All students and parents,

 

this is our program for day 3:

 

Per. 1 – LA Media – however, before that I will check NS work and collect book cover for those people who were not present in school on Monday – then we break into groups and work on the project, make sure you bring your memory stick

Per. 2 – LA Media continues – consultations

Per. 4 – French

 

Per. 5 – History – Seven Years War documentary

Per. 6 –  Phys. Ed. – games

 

NOTE: please bring some pictures to illustrate your novels in NS, especially if your have a picture of a place that could be related to the story in your Novel Study book;

also it would be not a bad idea to start collectiong pictures of places that would help you do describe settings in your future writing, where we will concentrate on describing setting and historical fiction.

Snow day update

Hello dear students,

 

this is a notification only for those people who will not come to school due to snow conditions only on Monday, December 17th:

 

Please bring all the due work – meaning your Novel Studies sentences, similes, metaphors, hyperboles, etc., including new book cover to be checked for completion on Tuesday – yes Tuesday, despite us not having Novel Studies on that day, you need to show me your work and hand in your project.

 

Again, this applies only in case if you cannot make it due to snow on Monday, Dec. 17th,

 

for the rest of the people original due dates apply.

 

If you have any questions about what to do for novel studies, please re-read NOVEL STUDIES update posting a few days back – on December 9th. I will not explain everything yet again.

Per. 1 – LA – Novel studies – Book Cover due, individual per each person (not a group project), hand in for marking

– each person must have new vocabulary recorded with pages plus 5 sentences – for details instructions look up previous Novel Studies Clarification posting

Per. 2 – LA continue, you may also choose words that are interesting to work with and potentially for use in your writing – in case your book does not have words you do not know meaning of, there will be an interesting lesson on Day 5 (potentially, or Day 1) on use of interesting words, so keep expanding your dictionary
